Sleeping Beauty!!

Look at me, snuggling by my foster mom, with my beautiful hair!

Wouldn't you like a beautiful dog like me to snuggle with? 💜

Playing with Toys!

This was the first time my foster mom saw me play with toys!  The pictures are blurry, she says, because I was moving so fast!
I have a lot of spirit, and sometimes even jump in the air!

I am continuing to do well, and am continuing to wait for my forever home.  I am such a special dog, waiting for a special person to realize what a good boy I am.💙💚💙

Lap Dog!!

One of the things I like best is taking a nap on my foster's mom's lap while she works on the computer or reads a book or watches TV.  I am also fine with sleeping right beside her, or at her feet.  I hope there is someone out there looking for a small dog who likes napping!  I am still waiting for my forever home.  And, in the meantime, I think I will take a nap!

Me!

How can you resist this face?

Snow!!

We had some snow here at my foster home!
See my tongue?  :)

I wasn't afraid to go out in it, but after a while I was ready to go back inside and warm my toes!

And here I am, posing so handsomely!

And I am still waiting for my forever home!

Snuggling with my Foster Mom!

One of my favorite things to do is to cuddle up with my foster mom.

I stretch out and take a nap!  And, if I am lucky, I get a belly rub!

And I will be busy cuddling until the just-right person adopts me! Thanks for checking in, and please think about whether YOU might be the one to give me the just-right forever home!

Early Days at My Foster Home

Thanks for checking in again!  These photos were taken on my first full day at my foster home, soon after I returned from the groomer's.  She said I was so good, and she is sure I will find the perfect home soon!  I felt wonderful after I got all the yucky, long, matted, dirty hair cut off. I still hear my foster mom say how soft my fur is, even though it has been a few weeks since I was groomed. I have very thick hair that is brownish in some places, and grey and white in other places.  And I can grow it out longer if you like a dog with longer hair!  :)  I am lucky to be a handsome dog either way!

And I am doing well!  When I first arrived, I was doing a lot of licking of my fur which could be because of the flea infestation from back at the shelter, and I still had some areas that were healing (scabbed over in places where I did too much licking).  I took Apoquel twice a day for two weeks, and now I am taking it once a day, and now I don't lick any more than any other dog!  My skin has just about returned to normal and my foster mom is hoping I can be weaned off of this medication.  And I don't take any other medication because I am really pretty healthy and doing well.  And did I mention handsome?

Please come back to my blog again soon. I will be writing more about life in my foster home as I wait for the just-right person to see me and want to give me a wonderful forever home. I will be sharing things like how I leap in the air when I see my foster mom, and how I give her kisses and sleep at her feet. I have a lot of love to share.

The First Chapter! At the Shelter :(

Hi!  Here I am, at the shelter in North Carolina!  Read more of my story below!

Welcome to my blog!  I will be blogging about once a week until I find the perfect forever home! So, the pictures above are from the shelter.  My family in North Carolina decided they didn't want me anymore.  Not sure why, because I am a pretty great dog, but they dumped me at a shelter. My heart was broken into a thousand pieces when I was left alone in a strange place with lots of dogs barking and no soft, warm bed. I wasn't sure what would happen to me. Lucky for me, my foster mom spotted my shelter pictures and decided she wanted to foster me. The Blind Dog Rescue arranged to spring me from the shelter jail, and I ended up in Virginia in December. Lucky, lucky, LUCKY me!

I got to Virginia on a "transport," which means a number of people each drove about an hour, and I went from car to car to car, until I ended up at my foster home!  The picture just above, with the red leash, is from the transport; one of the drivers is holding me. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I was a very good boy!

My foster mom had already made a grooming appointment for me the very next day after I arrived because she heard I was covered in dirty, long hair with lots of mats. You can tell I am a handsome dog, but I definitely needed a bath and haircut!  It was pretty clear the family that had me in North Carolina wasn't taking very good care of me. But all that has changed now!  I am in great hands with the Blind Dog Rescue, and am excited about finding the perfect forever home!

Please check back here for more of my story!  And think about whether you might be the right person to fill out an adoption application.  If you think you might be, read this first:
